Picube AoChuang V6 SE Dual Track UV 5x5

Picube AoChuang V6 SE Dual Track UV is a 5x5 cube based on the MoYu AoChuang V6 Dual Track. Picube has changed its factory setup. The mechanism and the magnets in the pieces are the same as in the regular V6. The difference is inside: weaker Ball-Core magnets and different springs. This gives the cube a different feel from the standard Dual Track. This version has a UV coating and comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

According to user reviews, the SE is fast and fairly loose out of the box. Corner cutting is very good, and lockups and pops are rare. You can clearly feel the magnets, but they are not overly strong. The outer layers turn lightly, so in the 3x3 stage the cube feels like a good 3x3. With a loose setup, an outer layer can sometimes drag the inner layer along with it. Tightening the tension or changing the lube usually fixes this. Removing the center caps takes some practice because they are protected against deformation, so set aside a little time for the first setup.

How the AoChuang V6 versions differ

• Single Track has 96 magnets between the pieces and no magnetic core. It is available in matte and UV versions.
• Dual Track UV adds a Ball-Core with magnets between the corners and the core, 112 magnets in total. This helps auto-alignment and improves stability.
• Triple Track UV has 160 magnets, with extra magnets in the feet of the inner pieces. It gives the strongest magnetic feel in the whole series.
• Dual Track SE (Picube) is a Dual Track with weaker core magnets and different springs. Turning is lighter and less "controlled" than in the regular version. Picube also makes an SE variant without the UV coating.

Who is it for?

It is a good choice for cubers who want a stable 5x5 with a magnetic core but find the regular Dual Track or Triple Track too heavy. The SE can be more comfortable especially for fast turning. Since the cube comes with a loose factory setup, it helps if you can adjust the tension yourself. If you need a 5x5 mainly for learning, the cheaper Single Track from the same series will be enough.
