MoYu AoChuang V6 5x5 (Triple-Track + UV)

The AoChuang V6 is the sixth generation of MoYu's flagship 5x5, and the Triple-Track is the version with the most magnets in this series. The MoYu AoChuang V6 5x5 Triple-Track comes with 160 factory-installed magnets, a Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating. It measures 60.5 mm, so it is fairly compact for a 5x5 and easier to hold than larger models.

Single, Double or Triple-Track?

All three versions of the AoChuang V6 have the same size and the same piece shape. They differ in magnets and finish:

• Single-Track: 96 magnets, no Ball-Core, matte (frosted) or UV version.
• Double-Track: 112 magnets, Ball-Core, UV coating.
• Triple-Track: 160 magnets, Ball-Core, UV coating.

The weight difference between the versions is only a few grams, but you can feel the difference in your hands much more. The Triple-Track "clicks" more noticeably and snaps layers into place by itself, which on a 5x5 helps especially with outer layer turns and edge pairing. If you prefer a lighter, less "tight" feel with soft, smooth guidance, you may feel more at home with the Single-Track.

How it turns

Turning is smooth and fast, and the strong magnets keep the cube stable during fast sequences. Users especially praise its good corner cutting and how precisely the cube stops after each move. However, the more elaborate magnet setup means each turn requires a little more force. Most people get used to it quickly, but if you have a very light turning style, keep this in mind.

If 5x5 is just a side event to your 3x3, the cheaper Single-Track version offers a very similar mechanism.
