QiYi Magnetic Clock - Limited Edition (Green)

QiYi Magnetic Clock - Limited Edition is a limited green version of QiYi's magnetic Clock. Many clockers use this puzzle because it works well straight out of the box and needs no modding. The 2025 Green version has green faces with red and white accents, plus its own limited-edition packaging. Underneath, it uses the same mechanism as the current standard colours, with the updated magnet layout.

Magnets in the Clock: what they do in practice

Inside there are 208 magnets: 204 small ones in the gears and 4 large ones in the pins. Every turn of a wheel stops at a full hour, so the hands don't end up between positions and the pins don't jam because of misaligned gears. Pressing the pins also gives clear magnetic resistance.

In this edition, QiYi reduced the magnet strength and added magnetic rings in the wheels and buttons that position the magnets more precisely. The new layout is meant to make turns more consistent regardless of how many pins are pressed. On older clocks, the movement got noticeably heavier with several pins raised. Users usually describe the feel as smooth, with clear feedback at every step.

That may matter to collectors, but not to your times. The QiYi also works well for learning Clock, as the magnets forgive imprecise turns. Just keep in mind that it's a higher-end puzzle.
