YJ Pocket Cube mini 5x5 is a magnetic 5x5 cube in a reduced size. Each side measures 58 mm, while a typical 5x5 cube is usually around 62 mm. The difference may look small, but you feel it as soon as you pick it up: the cube is narrower, lighter and easier to grip. The magnets are factory-installed by the manufacturer, so the cube is ready to solve straight out of the box. We offer it in the stickerless bright version, which means no stickers and coloured plastic in bright shades.

How it turns

Reviews from users and sellers describe the turning as fast and smooth, with a slightly "springy" feel. The magnets help the layers settle into place, which matters a lot on a 5x5: with so many thin layers, lockups happen easily when the alignment isn't precise. Keep in mind, though, that this is a small cube from YJ's budget line, not a flagship model for breaking records. If you're used to a full-size 5x5, you'll usually need a moment to get a feel for the smaller pieces and adapt your fingertricks to them.

It also works well as a second, travel cube for someone who practises on a larger model at home. If you plan to compete regularly in the 5x5 event and want tension adjustment and a more refined mechanism, you should rather choose a full-size flagship 5x5 cube.
