A full-fledged 7x7 cube in the size of a regular 3x3. The YJ Pocket Cube mini 7x7 measures approx. 55 mm per side and weighs 135 g, so it fits in your pocket and takes up as much space in your backpack as a typical 3x3 cube. It belongs to the Pocket series, in which YJ has also released miniature 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 cubes. This version is stickerless in the bright colour scheme.

How does the mini 7x7 turn?

The cube is magnetic and the pieces have a shiny (glossy) surface. According to the manufacturer, the mechanism has dual internal tracks (dual-track) designed to reduce popping and lockups, as well as a lightweight interior that makes turning light. Users who like mini cubes rate it well. Some also note that after tightening the centres, the middle layers become stiff while the outer edges stay loose, and pieces pop out of them more easily than on a full-size 7x7. This is a typical issue with older big cubes, so setting the tension may take a bit of patience.

At 55 mm, each face holds 49 very small pieces. The inner layers are narrow, and if you have larger hands, you will need some time to get used to them. Fast, precise slice turns are harder than on a standard-size 7x7 cube, which is approx. 69-70 mm.
