UV Print Arrows 3x3

UV Print Arrows 3x3 is a classic 3x3 cube with an arrow printed on every tile, and the arrows point in different directions. The pattern is UV-printed directly onto the plastic of the stickerless version, so there are no stickers. To solve this cube, matching the colors on each face is not enough. The arrows also have to point in the right directions.

What makes it tricky

On a regular 3x3 cube, the rotation of a face's center piece doesn't matter, because the center has a single color and looks the same in every position. Here, the arrows show whether the center is oriented correctly. Edges and corners that reach their places with the correct orientation usually already have their arrows pointing the right way. So what you'll most often have left to fix are rotated centers. A few extra algorithms come in handy for this, and learning them is a good next step if you've already mastered the beginner's method and want more than just solving the colors.

Build and turning

The UV print doesn't peel off or collect dirt along the edges the way stickers can. The colors and arrows are part of the piece surfaces. The cube turns smoothly, but it isn't hardware for breaking records. What matters here is the pattern and the extra challenge, not speedcubing performance. For timed practice, a typical magnetic cube with tension adjustment will serve you better.
