Zhigao Spinning Pen V38

Zhigao Spinning Pen V38

The Zhigao Spinning Pen V38 by ZhiGao is a pen made for pen spinning, the art of twirling a pen between your fingers. It works well for learning your first tricks and for regular practice later on.

Balance is what matters most in a spinning pen. The V38 is well balanced, so it's easier to keep in motion and it slips out of your fingers less often after a failed spin. This makes a big difference when you're just starting out. An ordinary pen from your pencil case usually spins poorly and often ends up on the floor. According to our data, the pen weighs approx. 13 g.

We sell this pen spinning pen in the Mixed color variant. The color is random and you can't choose a specific one.

Pen spinning: what is it all about?
Pen spinning is a form of contact juggling. It uses pens, pencils or objects of a similar shape. You set the pen in motion and guide it between your fingers so that it spins smoothly and moves from one spot to another. The discipline is considered to have started in Japan in the 1980s. The first pen spinner to start showing it on the internet was Hideaki Kondoh.

From the outside, the tricks look light and natural. Your first attempts will usually show you quickly that this is only an illusion. Even the basics take many hours of practice, and smooth combos are often the result of several years of training.

Where to start?
Four tricks are considered the foundation. Without them, it's hard to move on to more complex elements:
- Thumb Around: the pen rotates around your thumb,
- Sonic: the pen jumps with a spin between two finger slots,
- Charge: the pen spins continuously around a finger in one place,
- FingerPass: the pen passes with a spin between consecutive fingers.

Once you can do these four moves confidently, you can move on to harder tricks and link them into combos.
