Zhigao Spinning Pen V6

Zhigao Spinning Pen V6

Zhigao Spinning Pen V6 (model 5027 V6.0) is a pen made for pen spinning, the art of spinning a pen around your fingers. Zhigao makes affordable, easy-to-find mods that many beginners start with. The V6 is a fully functional pen: you can write with it normally, while its shape and balance are designed for tricks. That makes it just as useful at school as it is during practice.

How it spins

The pen is balanced, so it's easier to control the spins and it slips out of your fingers less often while you learn your first tricks. The surface has a non-slip coating that improves grip. According to available data, the V6 weighs about 23 g, which makes it on the heavier side for a pen spinning mod. This weight gives noticeable resistance and a more stable spin. If you prefer very light mods, though, you may need a moment to get used to it.

What is pen spinning?

Pen spinning is a form of contact juggling. You spin pens, pencils or similarly shaped objects so that they move smoothly between your fingers. It dates back to the 1980s in Japan, and the first person to start showing it online was Hideaki Kondoh. To an onlooker, the tricks look light and natural, but mastering them properly takes many hours of practice, and often years of training.

Four tricks are considered the foundation: Thumb Around, Sonic, Charge and Fingerpass. Without them it's hard to move on to more complex combos, so they're the best place to start learning with the V6.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to try pen spinning and needs an affordable, proven mod to learn the basics. It also works well as a spare practice pen for someone who already spins, and as a gift for a child interested in tricks.
