The X3+ is an improved version of the Tianma X3 V3 in its Triple Magnetic variant. On top of the standard corner-edge magnets, MoreTry added magnets in the corner bases. These work together with magnets in the centers and help align the layers. MoreTry Tianma X3+ Triple Magnetic Glossy is a spring-based 3x3 magnetic cube. It has glossy plastic without a UV coating and a stickerless bright color scheme.

What's improved in the X3+

• New magnet capsules. They are easier to install and fall out less often than in the first Tianma.
• More precise molds. The cube turns more quietly and more predictably than its predecessor.
• White center cap without a logo. Useful for blindfolded events at competitions.

How it turns

What sets the Tianma apart above all is its snappy feel. The magnets in the corner bases snap the layer into place from about 45 degrees, so each move ends with a distinct "snap". The cube is fast, with a tactile, slightly crunchy feel and a fairly loud, clacky sound. Some people describe it as a bit "hollow" in the hand. According to users, turning on the X3+ is noticeably softer than on the original X3. Reviewers also praise its corner cutting.

This cube has a character that won't suit everyone. Most cubers rarely pick it as their main, but it has its fans, including some top blindsolvers. If you prefer a quiet, smooth feel, you may need some time to get used to it.

Adjustment

The dual-adjustment core lets you set spring compression and tensioning independently of each other, across 9 levels. The pieces have a "fish-scale" texture designed to reduce friction while turning.

Glossy or UV?

The Glossy version has plain glossy plastic. The UV version also has a coating that gives more grip under your fingers. The Tianma X3+ is also available in a MagLev variant, where the springs are replaced with repelling magnets.

Who is it for?

For cubers who already know typical flagship cubes and want to try something with a distinctly snappy character. Also for blindfolded solvers, since the logo-free center cap is included. For a child's first cube, a calmer magnetic model is a better choice.
