MoYu AoFu V5 7x7 Triple-Track Magnetic UV

The top version of the new-generation AoFu, released by MoYu in autumn 2025. The MoYu AoFu V5 7x7 Triple-Track Magnetic UV has the full Triple-Track magnet setup, which means 232 magnets, plus a Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating. Compared with the AoFu WR M, this cube is almost 3 mm smaller and about 20 g lighter. At 62 mm it is one of the most compact 7x7 cubes on the market, and you will feel the difference in your hands during long sessions.

What Triple-Track means

The AoFu V5 comes in three magnetic versions that differ in the number and placement of magnets:

• Single-Track: 144 magnets between the corners and edges (outer track),
• Dual-Track: the same 144 magnets plus 16 Ball-Core magnets, 160 in total,
• Triple-Track: everything above plus 72 internal magnets in the edge feet, designed to reduce popping. 232 magnets in total.

The UV version has the same mechanism as the standard Triple-Track. The only difference is the surface: instead of matte plastic, you get a glossy UV coating that grips your fingers better. MoYu has also widened the outer layers to make the cube more stable when turning the outer layers.

How it turns

Users fairly consistently praise the light, fast outer layers and good control during the 3x3 stage. Popping happens very rarely. The magnets in the Triple-Track are noticeably strong and snappy, and their strength increases from the outer layers towards the centre. Some people love this, while others prefer the lighter turning of the Dual-Track version. Straight out of the box the cube can feel a bit stiff. It usually breaks in noticeably after a dozen or so solves and some lube.

Who is it for?

For big cubers who want a flagship 7x7 with maximum stability and a strong magnetic feel, and who also like the grip of a UV coating. If you prefer lighter, less "controlled" turning or want to spend less, consider the Dual-Track or Single-Track version. The mechanism in them is very similar. For your first 7x7, a cheaper version of the AoFu V5 is more than enough.
