MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Dual-Track Magnetic

The AoShi V4 is the fourth generation of MoYu's 6x6. The model comes in three magnet versions, and the MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Dual-Track Magnetic is the middle one. The cube has 160 magnets: 144 in the outer tracks and 16 in the core axes. This makes the layers align clearly, while the cube stays lighter than the Triple-Track version. At about 61 mm and about 135 g, it's a compact, lightweight 6x6. Our version is stickerless bright with a matte frosted finish.

How it turns

Users describe the Dual-Track as fast, smooth and stable. All layers turn similarly, with no noticeably heavier or lighter slices. One reviewer who owns all three V4 versions named the Dual-Track the most responsive. In his opinion, it feels similar to the older AoShi WR M but is more stable. The core magnets help the inner layers snap into place, which in a long 6x6 solve means fewer corrections and fewer lockups when your turning is less precise. Like most big cubes, the AoShi V4 needs a little time to break in. It's also worth adjusting the lube and tension to your own preferences.

Smaller and lighter than its predecessor

According to the manufacturer, the V4 is 1.5 mm smaller than the previous generation. The pieces are hollowed out inside, which reduces the weight without losing structural rigidity. On a 6x6 this matters in practice: a smaller, lighter cube is easier to hold, and your hands get less tired during longer sessions.

Single, Dual or Triple-Track?

• Single-Track: 144 magnets in the outer tracks, no core magnets, about 133 g. The lightest and softest version.
• Dual-Track: 144 magnets in the tracks plus 16 in the core, about 135 g. Noticeably more stability at almost the same weight.
• Triple-Track: adds 72 magnets in the inner blocks, 232 in total, about 141 g. The most "controlled" and heaviest version.

The Dual-Track is a good fit if you find the Single-Track too loose and the Triple-Track too heavy to turn.

Who is it for?

For cubers who solve 6x6 regularly or compete and are looking for a modern, lightweight 6x6 with a good balance between speed and control. It's also a great choice if you're just moving up from 4x4 and 5x5 to 6x6 – the small size makes the switch to a bigger cube easier.
