MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Single-Track Magnetic

The fourth generation of the AoShi, MoYu's flagship 6x6, comes in several versions that differ in their magnet layout. The MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Single-Track Magnetic is the base version and also the lightest one. It has 144 magnets in the outer track, but no magnets in the core or in the inner layers. The cube has a matte, frosted finish and comes in stickerless bright.

Smaller and lighter than its predecessor

The V4 is 1.5 mm smaller than the previous generation, and the pieces are hollow inside, which reduces the weight. The Single-Track version weighs approx. 133 g, which is very light for a 6x6. With big cubes this makes a real difference: in solves lasting a minute or two, a lighter and smaller cube tires your hands less. It is also more comfortable to hold if you have smaller hands.

How it turns

The 144 magnets give a clear "click" when the outer layers close and help align them, so you need to correct alignment before the next move less often. For a magnetic version, the cube has a light feel, and early user reviews mention fast turning, even after lubing. However, this version has no magnets positioning the core and the inner layers. If you like a very "controlled" cube where the magnets also clearly guide the slices, you will feel more at home with the Double-Track or Triple-Track version.

Single-Track, Double-Track or Triple-Track?

• Single-Track: 144 magnets in the outer track, approx. 133 g. The lightest and simplest version.
• Double-Track: the same 144 magnets plus 16 magnets in the Ball-Core (160 in total), approx. 135 g. The core holds its position better.
• Triple-Track: additionally 72 magnets in the inner layer pieces (232 in total), approx. 141 g. The magnets work the strongest of all versions.

The size and shell are the same in all versions. More magnets mean more stability and layer guidance, but also heavier and less free turning.

Who is it for?

For those who want a modern, magnetic 6x6 from the current generation and don't need extra magnets in the core. The Single-Track is a sensible choice for your first proper 6x6 after a budget cube, as well as for cubers who prefer a light, free-turning feel. Competitors focused on maximum stability should consider the Ball-Core versions.
