MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Triple-Track Magnetic UV

The AoShi V4 is the fourth generation of MoYu's 6x6 cube. The MoYu AoShi V4 6x6 Triple-Track Magnetic UV is the version with the most extensive magnet system in this series, plus a Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating. Compared with the previous generation, the cube is about 1.5 mm smaller. Its pieces are also hollow, so despite the large number of magnets it stays light for a 6x6. We offer it in the stickerless bright version.

What does Triple-Track mean?

The AoShi V4 comes in several versions, and the main difference is the number of magnet "tracks":

• Single-Track has 144 magnets on the outer layers and no Ball-Core. It is the lightest and simplest version.
• Double-Track has 160 magnets: the outer magnets plus magnets in the core axes.
• Triple-Track has 232 magnets. On top of the outer magnets and the ones in the core, there are 72 magnets on the inner layers.

The extra magnets inside the cube help the inner layers snap into place. This matters on a 6x6, because during long solves and less-than-precise turning the layers easily get misaligned, and that is when lockups happen.

How it turns

The Triple-Track is the most stable and most strongly "clicky" version of the AoShi V4. Users praise its combination of speed and stability. They also often mention that the cube needs a little time to break in and that it is worth finding the right lube and tensioning for it. If you prefer a lighter, more responsive feel, you can choose the Double-Track version. Some people find it the closest to the previous model, the AoShi WRM. The tension is adjustable, and the design includes protection against popping and pieces getting misaligned. Even so, some users have reported inner edge pops at very loose settings.

UV or matte?

The UV and matte Triple-Track versions have the same mechanism. They differ only in finish. The UV coating is glossy and gives a stronger grip, which makes it easier to hold a large cube during wide turns. The matte version has a more classic, frosted feel.

Who is it for?

For cubers who solve 6x6 for time and want a stable cube with strong magnetic guidance of the layers. If you are just getting started with big cubes, the cheaper Single-Track or Double-Track version will be more than enough.
