Picube AoShi 6x6 V4 SE UV

This is a special edition developed by MoYu together with PiCube. It is based on the AoShi V4, the fourth generation of MoYu's flagship 6x6. The Picube AoShi 6x6 V4 SE UV has the same mechanism as the V4, but with differently tuned edge-corner magnets, PiCube's own springs and a glossy UV coating. The cube comes in a stickerless bright version with a blue PiCube logo.

What the AoShi V4 platform offers

The V4 is smaller and lighter than the AoShi WR M. It measures approx. 61 mm, about 1.5 mm less than its predecessor. The pieces are hollow, and the cube weighs approx. 135 g. On a 6x6 this makes a big difference: a single solve takes several minutes, and a heavy cube tires your hands faster. The mechanism has an anti-pop structure, lube grooves and rounded corners.

V4 users describe it as a fast and stable cube. They also point out that out of the box it needs some breaking in and usually your own setup: lubing and tensioning. Expect this on day one.

How the SE version differs from the standard V4

• Edge-corner magnets tuned by PiCube. Turning is more tactile than on the regular V4, and moves "click" more noticeably.
• PiCube springs. They are meant to give more responsive turning.
• UV coating. The standard V4 is matte. Here the surface is glossy and offers better grip. A good option if matte plastic feels too slippery to you.
• Collector's finish: blue PiCube logo and a dedicated special edition box.

Who is it for?

For someone who solves 6x6 regularly and wants a ready, refined V4 variant with a UV coating. This version also makes sense if you previously had the PiCube edition of the AoShi WR M and want to move to a lighter, smaller platform. If the matte surface suits you, the standard V4 is cheaper and has the same body. It will also be the more sensible choice if you are just learning 6x6 and don't care about a special edition.
