Picube AoShi 6x6 V4 SE UV Core Magnet

This special edition was created by MoYu in collaboration with PiCube. The Picube AoShi 6x6 V4 SE UV Core Magnet is a magnetic 6x6 cube built on the fourth-generation AoShi in its Double-Track version. PiCube added its own core magnet system, differently matched edge-corner magnets, modified springs and a glossy UV coating. The cube comes in a stickerless bright version.

What the AoShi V4 offers

The fourth-generation AoShi is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. It measures about 61 mm, roughly 1.5 mm less than the previous version, and the internal pieces are hollowed out. On a 6x6 this matters a lot: during long solves a smaller, lighter cube is less tiring for your hands, and turning large blocks of layers is easier. Users of the standard V4 Double-Track describe it as fast, smooth and stable.

Core Magnet and PiCube's changes

According to distributors, the modified core and new magnets give this version stability and magnet strength close to the Triple-Track variant, while the cube keeps the lighter double-track design. In practice, the inner layers are less prone to misaligning, and the cube settles turns more reliably during fast turning. The modified springs give a more tactile feel than the standard version. This is based on the manufacturer's description and early reviews; the actual feel also depends on lubrication and personal preference.

The UV coating is glossy and gives a stronger grip than matte plastic. If you prefer a drier, matte surface, you can choose the Matte SE variant. It has the same mechanism; only the finish is different.

Which AoShi V4 version should you choose?

• Single-Track is the lightest version, with magnets on the outer track only.
• Double-Track has additional magnets that hold the layers in place better, at only a slightly higher weight.
• Triple-Track has the most magnets (232) and is the heaviest in the series.
• SE UV Core Magnet is a Double-Track with PiCube's modifications and a UV coating.

Who is it for?

For cubers who regularly solve 6x6 and want a strongly magnetic, stable cube but don't want to switch to the heavier Triple-Track. For your first 6x6, a regular AoShi V4 Single-Track or Double-Track is enough, as PiCube's changes are best appreciated by someone who can already compare them with other cubes.
