Picube created this version of the AoSu V7 based on MoYu's 4x4. In MoYu's standard lineup, the Dual Track version is only available with a UV coating. The Picube AoSu V7 SE Dual Track Matte has a matte surface, an upgraded Ball-Core and different springs. "Premium Setup" means that Picube lubed and adjusted the cube before shipping, so you don't get it in its factory state.

How this 4x4 cube solves

The AoSu V7 is smaller than previous AoSu models, and many users feel it turns almost like a 3x3. Turning is fast and smooth, and thanks to the extra magnets in the core, the inner layers hold their position better. This matters when you pair edges quickly and at the end of the solve, when the cube already behaves like a 3x3. Corner cutting is typical for a 4x4: sufficient, but not as forgiving as on good 3x3s. Users of the Dual Track version point out that the center magnets are noticeably strong, while the outer edge magnets are lighter. If you prefer weaker magnets, you may need a moment to get used to this.

• Dual Track: in addition to the classic magnets between the pieces, the cube has magnets in the core that help align the layers and increase stability.
• Upgraded Ball-Core: according to Picube, it has better-positioned magnets and lets you turn the cube more consistently.
• Replaced springs: they give a more controlled feel than in the factory Dual Track UV version.
• Premium Setup: the cube is already lubed and adjusted, so you can start solving right out of the box.

Single, Dual or Triple Track?

Single Track has no magnets in the core and is the simplest version of the AoSu V7. Dual Track has additional magnets in the core, and Triple Track has even more, so its layers feel more strongly "held together". The SE Matte version is based on the Dual Track and differs from the factory Dual Track UV mainly in its finish, core and springs. The matte plastic has medium grip and doesn't shine. If you prefer a slick, glossy surface, choose the UV version.

Who is it for?

For those who are serious about solving 4x4 and want a stable cube with core magnets that's ready to solve without doing their own setup. For a child's first 4x4, the cheaper Single Track version is more than enough.
