List of products by manufacturer ZePuzzles

ZePuzzles makes shape mods and unusual puzzles, many of them 3D-printed. The range includes the Floppy Cube and Squished series, Domino Skewb, FTO and CTO octahedrons and the collector's Tetradecaminx. A great choice if you want to solve something more than standard cubes.

ZePuzzles (also known in some sources as Zeal or Zepuzzles) is a relatively young brand. It makes twisty puzzles based on its own designs as well as under licence. The brand specializes in shape mods, meaning cubes with an altered shape, and in unusual puzzles outside the WCA categories. Many models are made using 3D printing. In the range you will find both simple puzzles for beginners and large, challenging collector's models.

ZePuzzles puzzles – the main series

  • Floppy Cube – single-layer cubes in 1x4x4, 1x5x5 and 1x6x6 sizes, printed from PETG. The bigger the grid, the more pieces and the harder the solve. The 1x4x4 version is the easiest place to start.

  • Squished 2x2 and Squished 3x3 – "squished" cubes. The mechanism and moves are the same as in a regular 2x2 or 3x3, but the distorted geometry makes it harder to recognize pieces and their orientation.

  • Simple shape mods – Domino Skewb, which combines the turning of a 2x2 and a Skewb, as well as Tricky Pyraminx, J2 Triangular Prism, Crazy Fisher 2x3x3, Shattered Eye Cube and Ghost SQ-0.

  • Octahedrons – the 11cm Big FTO (Face-Turning Octahedron, an octahedron with turning faces) and Master CTO (Corner-Turning Octahedron, an octahedron that turns around its corners).

  • Collector's models – for example the Super Gem III Cube, also known as the Tetradecaminx. It is a large, fourteen-faced face-turning puzzle designed by Jacob Keener.

Who are ZePuzzles cubes for?

They are mainly for collectors and cubers who already know standard cubes and want to try something different. Some models work well as a first non-WCA puzzle. Domino Skewb can be solved largely intuitively, and the Floppy 1x4x4 and Squished 2x2 do not require advanced knowledge. Models such as the Master CTO or Tetradecaminx are intended for more experienced solvers.

What to keep in mind

ZePuzzles are puzzles for solving for fun and for collecting, not speedcubing cubes. They have no tension adjustment systems or magnets, and corner cutting is usually limited. That is why they should not be compared with flagship GAN or MoYu models. 3D-printed pieces have a different texture than cubes made from injection-moulded plastic. Instead of stickers, many models have tiles (Tiled versions), which are more durable than stickers. Some cubes are available in several body colours.
