MoYu WeiLong V11 3x3 M

MoYu WeiLong V11 3x3 M is the basic magnetic version of MoYu's current flagship cube. It has classic piece-to-piece magnets, springs and a frosted surface without UV coating. There are no core magnets and no MagLev system. It is the simplest and lightest V11 variant, with the same body and the same adjustment range as the more expensive versions.

How it turns

The cube has 48 magnets that help you close the layers noticeably, but not excessively. It behaves like a classic magnetic cube on springs. Without Ball-Core, the layers are not additionally aligned by magnets in the core, so the cube feels slightly less "guided" than the Ball-Core versions. Some cubers prefer exactly this more traditional feel. The corners are designed not to pop or twist in place. The pieces also have a "dragon scale" texture meant to reduce friction while turning. The frosted surface doesn't shine and offers moderate grip.

Adjustment

WeiLong V11 has 8 tension levels (tensioning) and 8 spring compression levels (compression), giving 64 setting combinations in total. You change them with the included MoYu adjustment tool, without taking the cube apart. This way you can set the cube looser and faster, or tighter and more controllable.

How the WeiLong V11 versions differ

All four basic versions measure 55.5 mm and have the same adjustment range. They differ in finish, core magnets and turning system:

• M (this version): frosted surface, springs, 48 magnets, 60 g.
• UV: the same as M, but with a glossy UV coating that grips your fingers better. Weighs 61 g.
• 8-magnet Ball-Core UV: springs, 8 core magnets, 64 magnets in total, 63 g.
• 20-magnet Ball-Core UV MagLev: springs replaced with magnets (MagLev), 20 core magnets, 100 magnets in total, 67 g.

Who is it for?

The M version is a great fit for cubers who want the V11 mechanism but prefer a classic spring cube without core magnets and without UV coating. It's also a sensible choice if you're upgrading from a simpler magnetic cube and want wide adjustment options without paying extra for Ball-Core. The cube is legal for official competitions.
