This is a special edition of the WeiLong V11 made by Picube. The mechanism comes from MoYu, while Picube changed the magnet setup and the look of the internals. In this version, the Picube WeiLong V11 SE has an 8-magnet Ball-Core, classic springs, additional edge repulsion magnets in the edges and a UV coating. Picube has also strengthened the magnets between the edges and corners (edge-corner). The internals are powder blue, the same colour as in the WeiLong V9 Sixth Anniversary Edition. The transparent parts of the magnet housings and the Ball-Core have a matching shade. The cube comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

Compared with the regular V11, this version feels noticeably more magnetic. The stronger edge-corner magnets and the core magnets give every move a clear, snappy "click", and the cube is more eager to finish aligning layers on its own. Early feedback from users of the Edge Repulsion version mentions better stability than the standard V11 and smooth turning without losing control. However, the cube is new, so these are individual first impressions for now, not an established opinion in the community. If you prefer light, weaker magnets, you may find this version too "locked in".

Four Picube SE versions: how they differ

Every version has an 8-magnet Ball-Core and a UV coating. They differ in two elements:

• Standard or Edge Repulsion. In the Edge Repulsion version, the edges have additional magnets that give more help with layer alignment.
• Spring or MagLev. Springs give a more classic, controllable feel. MagLev replaces them with repelling magnets, making turning lighter and faster.

This version therefore combines the strongest magnetic option with the more predictable spring system. It's a good compromise if you want strong alignment but don't like the "floating" feel of MagLev.

Who is it for?

For speedcubers who already know the WeiLong V11 or similar flagships and want a more strongly magnetised, stable version with a distinct snap. It's also a great pick for collectors of WeiLong special editions. For a first cube, a cheaper magnetic model is usually enough. A beginner won't be able to take advantage of the differences they'd be paying for here.
