Picube WeiLong V11 SE (8M Ball Core + MagLev + UV)

This version of the WeiLong V11 is not part of MoYu's regular lineup. It is a special edition made by PiCube based on this model. The Picube WeiLong V11 SE is a magnetic 3x3 cube with an 8-magnet Ball-Core, the MagLev system and a UV coating. What sets it apart from the standard V11 are its strengthened edge-corner magnets and powder-blue internals, a nod to the WeiLong V9 Sixth Anniversary edition. The transparent magnet housings and the Ball-Core come in the same colour.

How it turns

According to early user feedback, the cube is fast, with a rather soft and smooth feel. The stronger edge-corner magnets, combined with the magnets in the core, snap the layers into place more clearly than in the standard V11. This keeps the cube under control at high TPS and stops it from feeling jumpy. Corner cutting is at the level you would expect from a modern flagship cube. If you turn very lightly or prefer a slower, more controllable setup, you may need a moment to get used to this cube's speed.

MagLev, Ball-Core and adjustment

• 8-magnet Ball-Core: the magnets in the core attract the ball in the centre of the cube. This helps the layers return to place more easily and makes the cube more stable during fast turning.
• MagLev: repelling magnets replace the springs. This makes turning lighter and faster than in the spring version.
• UV Coated: a glossy coating that grips your fingers better than matte plastic.
• Adjustment: the cube keeps the tension and compression adjustment system known from the WeiLong V11.

PiCube SE versions

Every PiCube SE version has an 8-magnet Ball-Core and a UV coating. They differ in two things: springs or MagLev, and additional Edge-Repulsion magnets or none. This one is the MagLev version without Edge-Repulsion. The spring version gives a slightly more controllable feel. Edge-Repulsion adds extra magnets, so the cube "snaps" into place more strongly. Compared with the regular WeiLong V11 MagLev with a 20-magnet Ball-Core, this edition has fewer magnets in the core, strengthened edge-corner magnets and a different internal colour.

Who is it for?

This version is for cubers who already know magnetic 3x3 cubes and want the proven V11 platform with a different magnet setup and distinctive internals. WeiLong collectors will love it too. For a child's first cube, a cheaper magnetic model is usually more than enough.
