Picube WeiLong V11 SE 3x3 (8M Ball Core + Spring + UV)

This is a version of the WeiLong V11 prepared by PiCube based on the MoYu cube. The Picube WeiLong V11 SE has an 8-magnet Ball-Core, classic springs instead of MagLev, a UV coating and stronger magnets between the edges and corners. Its look is inspired by the WeiLong V9 MoYu 6th Anniversary Edition. The internals are light blue (powder blue), and the transparent magnet capsules and Ball-Core parts come in the same colour.

How it turns

The mechanism is the proven V11, so the cube is fast, and the feel is smooth and slightly crispy. The core magnets help close the layers at high TPS. The stronger edge-corner magnets make the cube "snap" into place more noticeably than the standard V11 with an 8-magnet Ball-Core. Users point out that this version is very fast even on springs. If you prefer calmer, more controllable turning, you may need some time to get used to it or a tighter tension setting. During very fast U2 moves, some people find the magnets quite strong.

How is it different from other versions?

• Spring or MagLev: the PiCube SE is also available with MagLev, which replaces the springs with repelling magnets. The Spring version has a more classic layer bounce and is very fast anyway, so you don't need MagLev just for speed.
• Edge-Repulsion: in other variants PiCube adds repelling magnets. This version doesn't have them and uses the standard 8-magnet Ball-Core.
• Don't confuse it with the MoYu V11 SE: MoYu released a separate V11 SE edition with a black logo, MagLev and a 20-magnet Ball-Core. It is a different cube from the PiCube version.

Who is it for?

For speedcubers who like the V11 platform and want stronger auto-alignment and a more "controlled" cube feel, but would rather stick with springs. This version will also appeal to WeiLong collectors thanks to its blue internals. For a first cube, a cheaper magnetic 3x3 model is usually enough.
