MoYu WeiLong V10 Cross Core Part is a spare core in the classic cross shape for the MoYu WeiLong WRM V10 3x3 cube. It fits the versions without Ball-Core, i.e. the WeiLong WRM V10 Magnetic and Magnetic UV. It is made of transparent plastic. It comes in handy when the original core has cracked or has a damaged arm or thread and the cube no longer holds together.

Cross core or Ball-Core?

The WeiLong WRM V10 comes in several versions, and not all of them have the same core. In the Ball-Core versions the centre is a ball with magnets, while the basic magnetic versions have a regular cross without magnets. This core replaces the cross. It is not a replacement for the V10 Ball-Core, because that is a completely different part. Before ordering, check which V10 version you have. The easiest way is to take the cube apart and see whether there is a cross or a ball inside.

Compatibility with the WeiLong V11

According to the distributor, the same cross core also fits the WeiLong V11 in versions without Ball-Core. If you have both cubes in their basic versions, one type of spare core is all you need.

Replacement

To replace the core, you need to disassemble the cube, unscrew the centres from the old core and mount them on the new one. Then reassemble the cube and set the tension and compression again, because the previous setting may change slightly after assembly on the new core. Be careful not to lose any washers or springs while tightening the screws. The new part itself does not change the feel of the cube. The cube simply works again the way it did before it broke.
