MoYu Weilong V10 Maglev Magnets

MoYu WeiLong V10 MagLev Magnets

These are replacement magnets for the MagLev system in the MoYu WeiLong WR M V10 3x3 cube. One unit of this product is a pair of magnets, which is a complete set for one axis of the cube. In the MagLev system, each axis uses two repelling magnets instead of a spring. These magnets determine the tension of the layers and how the cube responds when turning.

How many should you order?

Every cube with the MagLev system has a total of 6 pairs of magnets, one pair for each center. Here is how many units you need:

• Replacing one damaged or lost magnet: 1 unit (one pair) is enough.
• Full set for one cube: 6 units of the product.

When are MagLev magnets useful?

Most often for repairs. A MagLev magnet can crack, e.g. after the cube is dropped, or get lost while you disassemble and clean the cube. A damaged magnet on one axis makes that layer feel noticeably different in tension from the others. The cube then turns unevenly and is harder to set up.

According to distributors, the V10 magnets can also be used to convert the spring version of the WeiLong V10 to MagLev. For such a conversion you need a full set, i.e. 6 units. To swap them, remove the center caps, unscrew the screws and insert the magnets in place of the springs. It is a good idea to note your tension adjustment settings beforehand, so that all axes have similar tension after reassembly.

Compatibility

The magnets are designed for the WeiLong WR M V10. MagLev magnets for older WeiLongs (V9 and earlier) have a different design and are not interchangeable with the V10. Before buying, check which generation of the cube you have.
