C4U 3x3 Plus Clock

C4U 3x3 Plus Clock is an extended version of the classic Clock puzzle from C4U (Cube4You). It is based on the familiar layout of 3x3 main dials, to which the manufacturer has added 4 extra dials and an expanded pin layout. The goal is the same as on a regular Clock: set all the hands on both sides to 12 o'clock. With more dials and more connections between them, though, the solution is longer and needs more planning. How it differs from a regular Clock

On a classic Clock, each turn of a wheel with the pins up or down rotates a specific group of dials. On the Plus version, the extra dials and pins add new connections. The usual methods for the standard Clock aren't enough, so you'll need to work out your own approach to solving it. If you already know the regular Clock, this is a natural next step. If you've never solved a Clock before, start with the standard model.

C4U also makes a regular 3x3 Clock without the extra dials. The Plus version is the harder of the two and has a larger body.

Build

The parts of C4U clocks are 3D printed. This lets the manufacturer create unusual dial layouts that you won't find on mass-produced clocks. Keep in mind, however, that the mechanism and finish don't feel like injection-moulded speedcubing clocks. Handle this puzzle gently: don't force the wheels and don't take it apart unless you need to.

Who is it for?

For puzzle collectors and Clock fans looking for a bigger challenge than the standard Clock. This is a puzzle to figure out and add to your collection, not a clock for setting fast times. If you want to practise the official Clock event, choose a classic speedcubing clock, ideally a magnetic one.
